If you haven’t heard the news already, Two Point Campus will be leaving Game Pass on 31st July 2023. We know it’s a bit disappointing to those of you playing over there, but there is some good news…
Our team have been working super hard on a swanky new feature that will allow you to easily transfer your saves files from Game Pass to Steam! This means if you want to grab the game on Steam instead, you’ll be able to carry over your save files (including your Room Templates!) from Game Pass and continue your adventures through Two Point County, rather than starting fresh.
There’s a bit of a time limit on this though, as Two Point Campus leaves Game Pass very soon. So you’ll want to boot the game up and upload your saves as soon as you can before you lose your free access to the game. Once you’ve uploaded though, you can grab the game from Steam any time and download your save files (maybe you’re waiting for sale, or you don’t have time to play right now, it’s all good - we’ll keep your save as long as you’ve uploaded it!)
How To Transfer Saves:
Sign into your Two Point County Account in game on the platform you wish to move your save from.
From the main menu, navigate to Settings.
Observe the new section at the top of Gameplay Settings, "Save Transfer".
Select upload, and confirm the upload.
Once upload is complete, close the dialogue menu.
Open the game on the platform you wish to recieve the saves on.
Log into your Two Point County Account.
Navigate to the Settings menu.
Select "Download" from the Save transfer options.
Once you’ve downloaded your saves, you’ll have access to your career/level, Challenge Mode progress, and Sandbox Mode saves. Plus, if you decide to get yourself a DLC on Steam, and you’ve already played it on Game Pass, you’ll get those saves too!
This doesn’t mean the game will be coming off the Microsoft Store by the way, so if you prefer to play there, you totally can. This is just for those of you wanting to swap over to Steam once we’re off Game Pass.
Remember though, you’ll need to upload your save before Two Point Campus leaves Game Pass (other wise you won’t be able to access the game!)
For Switch and Playstation players, this feature will be coming to you as well in the future!
